PROCEDURE AND LIST OF DOCUMENTS FOR GRANT OF APPROAL FOR ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS:
1. List of documents required :
(A) For Initial Inspection of Electrical Installations Other Than Transmission Lines under Regulation, 32, 36 and 43 :-
(I) Transformer, Hydro Power Stations and other Allied Equipments to be reported in Form “A”:-
- List of equipment mention the data: (Name, Make, Sr. No., MW/KW, KVA, Quantity).
- Single line diagram with metering & protection, if any.
- Drawing showing the location, layout, elevation and section.
- Drawing of earthing with Electrodes/Mats.
- Manufacturer’s test certificate for each equipment.
- Insulation test results and earth resistance of individual, combined electrodes and earth mat.
- Details of electrical Contractor and Supervisor (enclose undertaking of contractor).
- Copy of treasury challan receipt.
(II) Medium Vultage Connected Load to be reported in Form “A”:-
- Detail of connected load.
- Drawing of earthing with Electrodes/Mats.
- Insulation test results and earth resistance of individual, combined electrodes and earth mat.
- Details of electrical Contractor and Supervisor (enclose undertaking of contractor).
- Copy of treasury challan receipt.
(III) Diesel Generating Sets and other renewable sources of supply to be reported in Form “A” :-
- List of equipment mention the data: (Name, Make, Sr. No., MW/KW, KVA, Quantity).
- Drawing of earthing with Electrodes/Mats.
- Manufacturer’s test certificate for each equipment.
- Insulation test results and earth resistance of individual, combined electrodes and earth mat.
- Details of electrical Contractor and Supervisor (enclose undertaking of contractor).
- Copy of treasury challan receipt.
- Copy of NOC from supplier in case of D.G. set to be commissioned as standby source of supply.
(B) For Transmission Line installation to be reported in Form “B”:-
- Drawing showing the location, layout and crossings .
- Copy of test certificate of Manufacturer in respect of conductor, ground wire, disk insulators.
- Details of electrical Contractor and Supervisor (enclose copy).
- Copy of treasury challan receipt.
- Footing resistance of each tower (above 33 KV).
- Men & material removal certificate.
(C) For Periodical Inspection the Installations under Regulation, 30 to be reported on Form-C. The documents required shall remain same as in the case of Initial Inspection.
2. PROCEDURE FOR GRANT OF APPROVAL:
- Application complete in all respects should be submitted this department one month before the probable date of energisation.
- The application if found correct, the date of inspection to the applicant shall be intimated to the consumer / owner of installation through mail and SMS on registered mobile number.
- The inspecting officer will inspect the installation on scheduled date. If installation found in order, approval shall be granted immediately. Observations, if any noticed, shall be intimated in writing to the owner of the installation asking him to rectify the same within the time period stipulated in the inspection report and submit compliance report alongwith photographs of the observations attended, till then provisional approval shall be granted. If owner / consumer of installation fails to report the compliance within stipulated time period the provisional approval shall automatically stand cancelled and he / she has to apply afresh alongwith requisite inspection fee for obtaining approval.
- On receipt of compliance report from the consumer / owner of the installation, if found satisfactory, final approval for the energisation shall be granted immediately.
