Schedule of Licensing Fees:

In pursuance of the provisions of regulation 29 of Central Electricity Authority (Measures relating to Safety and Electric Supply) Regulations, 2010 and consequent notification No.MPP-A(3)-1/2017 dated 15/11/2021 by Department of MPP and Power, Himachal Pradesh fees as prescribed below shall be charged for issuance of Supervisor’s Competency Certificate, Electrical Contractor’s Licence and Wireman Permit as per clause 22, 26, 38 and 47 of said notification:-

(1)  Electrical Supervisor’s Competency Certificate:-

(i)      Examination fee. Rs. 250/-

(ii)    For grant of   competency certificate after passing the examination Rs. 750/- for five years.

(iii)    For grant of competency certificate by exempting from examination Rs. 750/- for five years.

(iv)   For issue of duplicate copy of competency certificate Rs.100/-.

(v)    Renewal fee of competency certificate Rs.750/- for five years. If such certificate for renewal is not received within 14 days of expiry date of certificate, it will not be renewed unless the application is accompanied with the late fee of Rs. 10/- per day upto the period of 30 days from the date of expiry of his Certificate. Thereafter it will be renewed from the date of application received by the Secretary by charging penalty of Rs. 500/- in addition to renewal fee.

*Provided further that the certificate shall be renewed upto the age of 70 years of the holder.

(2)  Contractor’s Licence:

 “A” Class Electrical Contractor Licence:

(i)         Initial fee Rs.4000/- for two years.

(ii)       For issue of duplicate copy of licence Rs. 500/- .

(iii)      Cost of application form- Rs. 100/-

(iv)     Renewal fee Rs.4000/- for two years. Provided that no licence may be renewed unless an application for the purpose is received by the Secretary within 14 days from the date of expiry of the licence and thereafter, late fee of Rs. 50/- per day shall be charged for a period of 30 days from the date of expiry of his licence. Thereafter, it will be renewed from the date of application for the purpose received by the Secretary by charging penalty of Rs. 3000/- in addition to renewal fee.

 “B” Class Electrical Contractor Licence:

(i)         Initial fee Rs.3000/- for three years.

(ii)       For issue of duplicate  copy of licence Rs. 250/-

(iii)      Cost of application form- Rs. 100/-

(v)       Renewal fee Rs.3000/- for three years. Provided that no licence may be renewed unless an application for the purpose is received by the Secretary within 14 days from the date of expiry of the licence and thereafter, late fee of Rs. 30/- per day shall be charged for a period of 30 days from the date of expiry of his licence. Thereafter, it will be renewed from the date of application for the purpose received by the Secretary by charging penalty of Rs. 2000/- in addition to renewal fee.

“C” Class Electrical Contractor Licence:

(i)         Initial fee Rs. 2500/- for five years.

(ii)       For issue of duplicate  copy of licence Rs. 200/-

(iii)      Cost of application form- Rs. 100/-

(iv)     Renewal fee Rs. 2500/- for five years. Provided that no licence may be renewed unless an application for the purpose is received by the Secretary within 14 days from the date of expiry of the licence and thereafter, late fee of Rs. 20/- per day shall be charged for a period of 30 days from the date of expiry of his licence. Thereafter, it will be renewed from the date of application for the purpose received by the Secretary by charging penalty of Rs. 1000/- in addition to renewal fee.

*An electrical contractor who did not get his licence renewed upto Three years after the date of expiry of his / her license, his /her licence shall automatically stand cancelled.

(3). Wireman Permit:-

(i)         Examination fee. Rs. 200/-

(ii)       For grant of permit after passing the examination Rs. 500/- for five years.

(iii)      For grant of permit by exempted from examination Rs. 500/- for five years.

(iv)     For issue of duplicate copy of permit Rs.100/-

(v)       Renewal fee of permit Rs. 500/- for five years.  If such permit for renewal is not received within 14 days of expiry date of permit, it will not be renewed unless the application is accompanied with the late fee of Rs. 5/- per day upto the period of 30 days from the date of expiry of his permit. Thereafter it will be renewed from the date of application for the purpose received by the Secretary by charging penalty of Rs. 300/- in addition to renewal fee.

Provided further that the certificate shall be renewed upto the age of 65 years of the holder of permit.

N.B.:- All types of fees should be paid into any of the Himachal Pradesh treasury/ sub-treasury for credit to the head “0043-Taxes and duties on Electricity, 800-other receipts, 01-Misc. Receipts” Payable to Chief Electrical Inspector and the original copy of Challan forwarded to the Secretary along with application for admission to any examination or for any of the fees to be paid to the Secretary Licensing Board.

*Fees once paid shall not be refunded in any case.
